For the longest time, I’ve always wanted to create a place where I could jot down all my thoughts. I’ve held this domain since roughly 2001, and for the past 19 years, it has occasionally held some insights into my worldview in its various short lived incarnations as a website, mostly due to laziness. Add in the various competing social platform vehicles such as MySpace, LiveJournal, Xanga, and theFacebook, it’s no wonder that the site languished for a very long time.

Now that I’m a bit wiser (I think), and opinionated (I’m quickly becoming a grumpy old man), I’ve decided that it’s about time I did something with this site.

So here I am. What topics can you expect from me?

Well, I work in the technology field in the government sector. You’ll probably hear/read tech. I dabble on the side as a purple belt hobbyist amateur competitor in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. So you’ll probably hear about that. I’m part of the generation of gamers who played MMO games like Ultima Online, EverQuest, Final Fantasy 11, Star Wars Galaxies, and Dark Age of Camelot. And yet I played RTS games like Dune 2, WarCraft I, II, and III, and Starcraft even before those. So you’ll probably hear my thoughts on gaming. I also consider Faith really important to me, so you’ll probably hear my worldview as a non-denominational Christian who dabbled in seminary. I’m addicted to odds and mathematics. I’m a big lover of craps, and I day trade on the side. I have a voracious appetite for knowledge, current events, and understanding the world around us. Basically, you’re going to hear about everything and anything jwchen.

If you’re going to be somewhere in 10 years, why not be a black belt?
